I recently downloaded some Jill Cunniff songs at a friend's recommendation and they are delicious--frothy, boppy, dreamy summer day kind of music. Does anybody else have recommendations for fun summery music? Any genre...

OK, no one hate on me because it's totally 90's, but Sister Hazel always reminds me of summer road trips.

Mazzy Star - for daydreaming on the beach or while trying to sleep on hot nights.

Simon and Garfunkle - background music for summer late night dinners

Janis Joplin - I always play her songs while driving w/ windows open

Ben Harper - just music for chilling...definitely mood music.

I'm liking KT Tunstall, Feist, and Lily Allen for summertime

The music that ALWAYS reminds me of summertime (and this totally speaks to my southern California upbringing) is Sublime.  What I Got, Wrong Way, and Santeria are songs that need to be listened to with the windows down.

Other good classic summer music for me are the Eagles and the Beach Boys.  (Hmm...terrible grammar in that last sentence, but I'm feeling too lazy to think too hard about fixing it.)
