Sooo, while I was away at school my sister took the liberty of switching rooms with me. So now I am stuck in her old room with an ugly, ugly wall color. simple solution:paint. however my mother is being anal and told me if i wanted to paint I would have to pay to get it done professionally. no thank you. So now I need to make due (for 4 months) with "tangerine dream" walls. They are almost a creamy tangerine and are only bearable at night, with dim lights. I need a new bed set because my current one just wont work. P.S. I have a black metal headboard. I would appreciate ANY color suggestions.

I have a pair of creamy tangerine shoes and they look cute with other "off" brights- chartreuse or teal mostly. I'd probably try to get it to look kind of "formal beachy" with a pale teal bedspread and make some bronze candlesticks on the nightstand. If its your style (its not mine), it would probably look also really cool if you do totally retro with it- like Austin Powers style....I see it with red and a golden yellow for that look.
ETA: what about heavy curtains and a dimmer-switch for the light?
i actually like the walmart bedding as much as i hate walmart. thanks girls. that gives me something to go off of.
