Who watched last night? What the heck! What is up with Richard not aging?!?
I am such a nerd and had to freeze frame the part where they show Jacob! At first I thought it was Richard or maybe Desmond (cuz of the long hair) but it's definitely someone we've never seen before.
How exciting! Two episodes left right? I was just reading they're going to drag it out three more years - and also cut down to 16 episodes per year. Boo.

It was good to see some of Ben's backstory. And the episode was good but at the same time frustrating, it seems like every time we get any closer to answers we get a million more questions, argh!
I hope they don't drag it out that long and especially only 16 episodes per year, I feel like it would be easy to lose interest then.

Be prepared to lose interest then...they have announced that the show will conclude in 2010. They will move to a 16 episode season starting January 2008. Sort of like 24 does only they don't screw the viewers out of a full season of epidsodes.

I know! They could easily do two more 24-episode seasons and accomplish the same thing. Viewers would be thrilled! Of course they're being greedy and want to drag 3 years out of it. Still I got to give them kudos, the last few episodes have been awesome!

Ugh! That is so disappointing to hear! I guess as long as it does have an ending set maybe we'll actually get somewhere.
It was frustrating, but interesting at the same time. When Ben was talking to "Jacob" and everything started going crazy in that little cabin, I haven't felt that kind of suspense since the polar bears and black cloud and the others used to scare me in seasons 1 & 2! It was good to have that feeling back from the show.
I feel like they could have done a little more with Ben's back story in between him being young and that little girl giving him that doll, and then all the sudden he was old and killing his dad. What happened to the little girl, was she one of the ones that was poisoned along with all the other people Ben lived with? And if he was the only "new on the island" person that survived the poisioning, how did he become the "leader" of all of the people that were there already??
And yea, what the hell IS with Richard not aging???
Also, when Jack and Juliet were showing everyone what the tape said and it says Juliet is going to find out if Kate (Austin) is pregnant, why did they not address that??

Ooooh! I wonder if she is carrying Sawyer's love child

If I were a betting woman, I'd bet that the season finale ends with Kate finding out she's pregnant. I think the writers are definitely setting us up for that.
As for Jacob and Richard and all of that...WTF??? I feel so confused! But it was a GREAT episode. I really enjoyed it.
Do we think Locke is really dead? I'm not sure. He's no longer essential to the show, but I still feel like the show wouldn't be the same without him. I'm wondering if the healing powers of the island will cure him.
I was also a nerd and went and looked for a freeze frame shot of Jacob, because I was too freaked out and hiding behind my bf to see that part. Who or what the heck is he??? I was wondering why Richard never seems to age too. I mean, even with long hair, he still looked the same, and he looks younger now than he did back then. And Locke cannot be dead, the show would not be the same without him!
Locke isn't dead. There were news releases that Locke and Jack have a "Battle Royale" in the final episode of the season. I'm assuming that some of that "island magic" will heal his gunshot wound.

Bummer! Frankly, I'm totally tired of Locke. To me, he's one of the least interesting characters and I feel like this season has had too much of a Locke focus. I'm ready to be done w/ him or at least move on to other characters. And, by that I mean - Gimme More Desmond!!
I didn't see Jacob at all. I tried really hard, but never caught anything. I was watching on my laptop tho, so maybe it was just harder to see? Can anyone give me a clue as to when he appears?
So, now we know a little bit more about the Darma Initiative, but now I want to know where the "hostiles" came from? How did they get on the Island? Overall, a good episode tho.
I'm actually kind of happy w/ the three more 16 ep seasons format. It's fine w/ me. I get frustrated sometimes that we don't get more answers, but overall I'm still really enjoying the show. In fact, it's pretty much the only show I watch consistently.

You can see him right after Ben goes to "shake Jacob" (but really just shakes the empty chair) and then he gets shoved against the wall. Pause it right after that and you can see him in sitting in the chair. Then after that there is a close-up of his eyes, which are like dark brown (Locke and Ben have blue/green eyes) and by the way he moves his pupils & his vantage point, you can tell he's looking right at Locke. Then they show Locke looking back, so I think Locke *might* have seen Jacob at that point. I am such a nerd!

Yay! Locke is my favorite character. I didn't like the direction the writers took him for most of this season, but he was back to his crazy self in the later episodes.
I want to know why Sayid isn't the island leader, he's the only one there with a brain!
I realize I'm way late w/ this..but I just watched yesterday.
I was so happy that they brought back the intrigue and the drama! It was really getting boring for awhile there..
I have no idea how that show gets new viewers, though. If you haven't watched from the very beginning, and seen every single episode, I can't imagine how crazy and weird the whole thing is and how lost someone would be.
Ohhh, the whole richard not aging thing was strange.
What really got me, was obviously the new group ISNT darma group. So who are they , and how is it that they are also the same corporation that recruited juliet in the states?
