I was a little mad too! I expeted to see more Greys!!! I don't like the new storyline nearly as well. I hope they don't do a spin-off.

sorry to disappoint you ladies, but I read an article in Sunday's LA Times and the spin off is a done deal. I think the producers have been waiting for the right time where Addison's character could leave, and tonight's episode was a way of introducing the spin off. I don't really like the whole idea either, but we'll see how it goes...

ugh. I could have done without that whole spinoff business. I am not interested in the new storyline AT ALL. I feel like I didn't see nearly as much of regular GA as I did of that stupid tangent storyline.

I was okay with the spinoff, but I hated the presentation. It was overwhelming -- too many new characters, and just when I started getting into one storyline, the show would switch back and forth from Seattle to LA. Why didn't they just air an hour of Grey's and then an hour of spinoff afterward? It would have felt less forced, and I'm sure a lot of people would've still watched. As it was, it seemed like we barely got 20 minutes of Grey's!

Grey's is making me mad... Seasons 1 and 2 were so awesome, but now I'm annoyed with almost every character! Can't stand George/Izzie... Burke doesn't take into consideration what Christina wants, Derek is being a lousy boyfriend...

yeah....where did all of this wedding stuff come from all of the sudden? I was really confused and surprised as to why Burke was doing all of this after Christina said she didn't want a big wedding.

I think the show has really gone downhill. Ever since they did that stupid 3 part episode w/ the ferry crash, it's been like a train-wreck. The acting has gotten terrible and the story lines are pretty lame. The only one I'm actually interested in is Alex and the ferry crash girl. Other than that, they're all obnoxious. I'm really disappointed because it used to be my favorite show next to Lost and now it's almost as cheesy as Desperate Housewives, which I loathe. Grrr...glad to know I'm not the only one frustrated though!

Yeah, a little pissed over here, too. I was cool with them laying the groundwork for Addy's spinoff even, until they completely fucked it up with the whole 'Addison is suddenly infertile!' schtick. Please. There wasn't anything medically correct about that entire story line At. All. And wasn't she just Oops-Pregnant! with McSteamy's love child 1 year ago?! Then she's totally made her peace with it after ... oh, 3 days? Why must they drag out the stupid unemotional non-stories for weeks, and resolve this which you'd think would involve a little internal drama, in 30 seconds?

Let it be known, my prediction: If this is indeed Addison's spinoff, she will fall for tongue-kissing acupuncturist and get Oops-Pregnant! again, this time with a side dish of But I'm Infertile! And yet I'm Oops-Pregnant anyway! It's meant to beeeeeee!

Reason # 48 why I hate the new show: Can there be any more people from ex-sitcoms? Taye Diggs (who apparently is known as "show-killer" because his tv shows always bomb), the therapist if from Judging Amy, Tim Daly from Wings, and Naomi from 13,000 other sitcoms as guest characters. WTF??? One of the best things about Grey's was that these people were unknowns (or little-knowns) for the most part and you could really believe them as thier characters. The new people are just rehashed other actors.

Reason #49 why I hate the new show: I was reading about it on the 'net and supposedly it's going to be called "Private Practice". Oh my god, how cheesy! I mean, not that Grey's Anatomy isn't cheesy as a title...but private practice! God!

Perhaps I'm just angry and stressed in real life and I'm taking it out on this how. Perhaps.

No kidding. The whole time I was like, what the hell is this? It was too much! I was beginning to think that the show must really have lost ratings and killed off too many characters that they needed new characters.

Now they have two actors from Prison Break if anybody noticed. All these TV actor leftovers...

two? I noticed one. The guy that was the bad undercover man that tried to commit suicide on PB.

Hmm, it's rant time...

I totally still watch this show, but I was with the JumpTheShark.com dudes when they thought the show jumped after the code-black episode last year. It became ridiculous around then. But now:

I can't stand Izzie and George either, AS IF!!

Why do the writers have to make Christina such a bitch? Seriously, I got it at first, but by now, nobody with such nice friends and nice boyfriend would be acting so ungrateful.

Why does Meredith have to lose her mother and her step-mother in the same season?

Why do they create Derek to be so wishy-washy? One season he's a perfect model of morality, humility and kindness in the poor husband who got cheated on. The next, he's McColdheart!

So.. the show is still cool because it has good lines and great pop culture references, but the writers are really stretching reality with these characters-probably in the idea that such extremes add "depth." I like exciting and relevant storylines, but as a viewer, I cannot become attached to characters who are Jekyl and Hyde!

Reading these posts, I think I'm the only one that liked Private Practice. However, I really think they should have aired it separately from Grey's, I think they could have made it work.

I actually liked the spin off. It seems a lot lighter and I think that all of the characters have a lot of potential. I would definitely watch it. (I guess I should mention that Addison is one of my favorite characters on Grey's though.)

Me too. I actually thought it was better than greys has been this season.

Ugh, I'm w/the majority here - I was so pissed that the majority of my Grey's episode was actually the new Addy spinoff, which I personally was bored to tears with. If that's how the show will be, I won't watch, and I predict a big flop.

As for the bits and pieces of Grey's we did get, what is up w/the writers killing Grey's mom and stepmom in a matter of weeks? What is up w/Thatcher slapping Grey? What is up w/Derek being such a wishy washy jerk? What is up w/George and Izzy? What's up w/the whole damn show?
