I have started working out at lunch, and I'm just wondering if there's anyone else who does how you coordinate it. When I started I wasn't working out too hard and was just getting back into it so not really pushing myself, so I didn't get too sweaty and was able to just go back to work no problem. But now that I'm working out and pushing myself harder, I think I need to either work out another time, or start taking a shower. I'm just worried about having enough time to work out and shower and eat a quick lunch.
Just curious what everyone else does, or if anyone has any tricks of the trade! I'd really like to keep working out at lunch because it seems like no matter how hard I try something always comes up when I try to work out either before or after work.
I work out at lunch, I can't get motivated to go after work when I know there's housework, cooking, watching my shoes...etc. I just leave to go to the gym at noon, it only takes me 5 minutes to get there and about 5-10 minutes to get changed and out on the treadmill. I work out for 30-35 min. I go take a shower (it only takes a few minutes, I don't wash my hair), get dressed, dry my hair a little, put a little bit more makeup on (to cover my red face) and get back to work by 1:15. I make up the extra 15 min. after work. My work doesn't mind if I eat at my desk so I just eat real quick when I get back from the gym.
You might want to try moist wipes or baby wipes or something like that if you don't have time to shower. I keep a pack in my gym bag, just in case I need to do something after working out.
all i can say is that i'm jealous. i wish that i could do that, i've always wanted to workout during my lunch break, but with my job it's impossible.
i love trader joe's face wipes. i would do that and either shower sans hair or use a wash cloth (sometimes i think showering sans hair is faster than a wash cloth though).
also, could you possibly change into workout clothes before leaving work (i found it to be a lot faster than changing at the gym).
i would try to get a "lunch" in, by eating a snack after breakfast, a quick snack during your lunch break, and another snack after working out. that way you don't have to take time to consume all the calories at once, and can do them in quicker intervals.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. My hair is actually my biggest problem though. The biggest reason I would need a shower is because I have short, fine hair, and it's just so gross after working out! I think I'm going to have to just make time for a quick shower. After today I feel like it would be better to have wet hair and light makeup then feel gross the rest of the afternoon!

unfortunately i think your hair type changes everything. i would definitely feel the need to take a shower after working out if i had that hair type..... sounds super cute though. i would try to shower really quick and just throw some gel through your hair before you go back to work. you can always put on makeup in the car or do it halfway and finish it when you get back to work.
if this is the only time that you will actually work out, it's worth the hustle and bustle because you're getting money out of your membership, plus you can just do higher intensity.
