Did anyone else notice the big mistake that they made?
If Future Hiro was unable to kill Sylar before the bomb exploded because he regenerated (which meant he killed Claire), Claire should not have existed in the future. Her existance in the future throws everything off.
Thoughts?

I was confused by this too. My husband seems to think that Claire must have regenerated after Sylar killed her and no one but her father knew she was alive....his theory just doesn't add up to me.

oh shit, I totally didn't catch that. May have to watch the ep again.
I think that maybe Peter was the one who actually caused the explosion? That's what he told Niki anyway. That's the part I'm trying to figure out. I'm wondering if it had something to do with Peter absorbing power from the nuclear guy (ted, I think)? and if Peter can reginerate, how'd he get that scar?
great ep and it left it open for a ton of questions which just makes me want to watch next week. yeah I want to know how Peter got the scar too especially since he can regenerate. Hmmmm

LOL. I thought the exact same thing as you both did, and my husband said the exact same thing as yours, needsfashionadvice. I still don't buy it, but I bet televisionwithoutpity has it figured out.
PS- the setup for that showdown between Peter and Sylar was RAD. I was disappointed that it ended there.

I think I figured it out by reading the online comic on nbc.com. It's my understanding that Future Hiro (FH) put together his little string theory based on the idea that Sylar was the bomb. In his past, Sylar killed the cheerleader, so when FH attempted to kill Sylar, he could regenerate, as he had killed the cheerleader.
To rectify this situation, FH went to Peter Petrelli in the subway and told him "save the cheerleader, save the world" because he thought that would change the future.
PP and PH (present Hiro) saved the cheerleader and she didn't die. So that's why she's alive in the future. FH thinks Sylar was the bomb (when we know it's PP - or at least it appears so thus far). PH came to the future before he'd had a chance to try to kill Sylar, which is why he didn't know about it when FH asked him.
So, in the current future (or the ep we saw), PH had saved the cheerleader but not attempted to kill Sylar. FH thinks that's why everything in the future is the way it is (and obviously we learned Sylar is playing a huge role in the future), but what he doesn't know is that PP is the bomb and that's what they really need to "contain" to avoid the future.
Make sense?
Check out the online comic/chapter. It's good and it says it clearer than I can.
