While I understand liking some LV stuff, I just don't get this line of costume jewelry they're doing. <--That's a little do-hickey for your cell phone. It's $240.
<--Two hair ties for $230 (what a deal!)
<--Need a barrette? It's $240.
Can someone explain this to me? I understand liking designer stuff and all, but I just don't get this at all.
so does this mean i'm going to get banned if i admit that i would totally buy the cell phone charm if my phone actually had an antenna and i had $240 lying around.
but in all seriousness, this is something aimed at the same market of girls buying the Dooney it bags of late. In some circles, everyone wants something with designer cache. Also, I think it's the kind of thing that does well internationally, especially in Asia.
I am thinking it could be a way to tap into the younger crowd or not so rich crowd. A 15 year old can probably scrounge up $200 for a key ring from Louis Vuitton but can't afford the bag. I get tons of magazines at work and end up reading Teen Vogue and Seventeen on a regular basis, these items are featured regularly in those mags.

If this is true, then things have sure changed since I was 15. I think my entire back-to-school wardrobe probably cost $200 at that age. Gawd, I'm starting to sound like my Mom!!
Either way, I can barely get my head around the appeal of LV bags, let alone hair thingys.
I'd be so afraid that I'd lose one of those things! If I'm going to buy anything from LV (or any other label), my rule is it has to be larger than something a Labrador Retriever could swallow!
