Forgive me, I have to brag for a second. I've never really been one to work out a lot (I love yoga, but not so much with the cardio), but I decided that I wanted to start running. I got the Nike+Ipod thing and I.Love.It.
Anyway, I got up early this morning (9am on a sunday- what?) and ran my best run yet. 2.68 miles with an average pace of 9"4' per mile. I don't think I have EVER run more than a mile and a half without stopping before (I usually stop and walk for a bit in the middle and then run again) and my normal pace is closer to a 10 minute mile, but it felt so good and I wasn't tired, so I kept going. I'm so proud of myself!
Carrie Bradshaw: The fact is, sometimes it's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes. That's why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.
Way to go, I need to get back to running myself. The fastest I've ever been was a 10 min. mile and that was after I'd been running for a few months. If you start running regularly, I bet you'd be super fast because under a 10 min. mile is pretty darn good in my opinion, and that's after you haven't even been running regularly!
What do you like about the nike ipod thing? I've been thinking about getting one myself.
