I need a supportive bra, too. If the spaghetti straps are black and you have a black bra, I think it looks okay. Otherwise, it's not really a great look, but I do it sometimes anyway as long as the look is casual. I have yet to find a good strapless bra.
I've never found a strapless bra that I like. I try to minimize bra straps, but if they peek out, I don't mind. Of course, it kinds of depends on the event. If it's pretty casual, no big deal. But, if it is a wedding or similar event, I'd figure something out to make sure the bra strap didn't show.
I generally don't mind as long as they are thin straps and match the dress/cami. Now I don't think that wider bra straps are ever a good look to have showing.
I agree. I have a strapless bra, but I really haven't found one so I love so I generally stay away from anything I can't wear a bra with. I don't like them peeking out at all, although on super casual days sometimes I just decide not to care.

I am a little thrown off by your use of the term "good supportive bra". I am imagining a bust minimizing doozey in beige with wide padded straps.
I think if the bra is the same color its not horrible. If you have a bra with removable straps, you can always get clear straps (which still show but would be better than a colored one), or they make beaded straps that will look like theyre actually part of the dress:
