I know Easter is still a couple weeks away, but I like to plan ahead. My mom never made an Easter dinner when I was growing up so I really don't have a good idea of what people typically serve for an Easter Dinner. Is ham the norm? What about side dishes? Deviled eggs seem fitting, right? Your thoughts and ideas would be appreciated. TIA!
depending on the size of the group, ham or leg of lamb. for sides maybe mashed/roasted potatoes, brussels sprouts or asparagus, dinner rolls, and maybe some carrots?
Ham was the norm in my family growing up, but now we do crab or crabcakes.
This year we're doing: crabcakes, asparagus, salad, potato, california rolls for a starter and a bunny shaped cake for dessert (my mom made them for us as kids, and wants to make another one this year).
We tend to have leg of lamb, mashed potatoes with scallions, some sort of new pea or other spring veggie dish - like asparagus, those tiny cream of tarter biscuits and chocolate cake for dessert. And, lots of champagne to celebrate the holiday and the return of spring!
