Those editors at MTV are great. Last week Heidi looked like a bitch, this week Lauren looked like a bitch.
I feel bad for Heidi - Lauren's putting her in a really weird position, and so is Spencer (who continues to a be a douchebag. Could he have made Heidi feel any worse on New Years?)
I'm glad Lo was on this episode - love her! Next week's episode looks good too. I wonder if Lauren will forgive Jenn?

I saw this differently. Yes, poor Heidi, but not because Lauren was acting uncomfortable with Spencer around. Spencer appeared to be gleefully reinforcing the wedge between Heidi and Lauren by exaggerating unfriendly Lauren was acting. But Lauren has good reason to want to keep her distance from Spencer, he has intimidated her away, especially after the confrontation two episodes ago.
If Spencer were at least a smooth guy who knew how to charm people, he would approach Lauren with kindness and try to show some humility and apologize for how he hurt Heidi before. He might be worried about how Heidi's friends felt about him, instead he seems to enjoy that his behavior has caused Heidi to be isolated. Now, if he hurts her, she might not be able to get some thoughts and reflection from her friends. Eventually, it looks like she will be left complaining to female coworkers, who are so much less invested in a friendship with her.

ITA. He made sure Heidi never forgot that Lauren didn't say goodbye to her when they left Area AND he was trying to make Heidi feel that Lauren had already replaced her with Audrina anyway because he wanted Heidi to move in with him already.
I think they both have a lot to learn about friendship and relationships. I think Lauren is a little unrealistic about what she expects from Heidi. When someone is in a serious relationship, they do tend to spend more time w/ their SO than they do with their best friend. That's just life..and while it can suck..it's just life. As a best friend, you're supposed to be supportive, etc. However, I do think it was shitty that Heidi totally stood Lauren up after they promised to do something. Not cool.
I think spencer is really manipulative by isolating heidi from her friends, and that lauren is also acting really cold as well. I hated all the "me and audrina" shit, right in front of heidi. that's just rude- you don't make a friend feel like the third wheel, even if you're not on the best terms. I think lauren and heidi aren't on the same page right now- sometimes that happens when one person is single and one is in a relationship. But word up to heidi for calling out lauren for ditching her trip to paris and living with asshole jason for the summer. and not being a judgemental b*tch about it. lauren makes me
I dont know I'm kind of confused about everything and what the real story is here. I think the editors do a lot of editing in order for it to seem as if Lauren ignores Heidi. For example, when they were in the salon and Heidi said she was going to go eat, they showed Lauren with her eyes closed and she replied "mhmm" But if you look closely Laurens hairdresser was doing something differently to her hair before they showed Laurens response and after. They just made it seem as if Lauren didn't even care about Heidi.
I would hate to see their friendship end over somebody like Spencer.

i agree, i think lauren is getting the bitter b*tch edit. it was really obvious in the salon scene - the conversation didn't flow at all, it was definitely pieced together. lauren is obviously upset with heidi and she probably is being a little cold, but not to that extreme.
and spencer is sooooo manipulative! i really think he's brainwashing heidi. it's really disturbing. almost as disturbing as how much i'm invested in this show....
That sucks that Heidi is going to move in with that slimeball. Ugh, I can't even look at that guy without my stomach flipping. He's so plastic-y and creepy.
On another note, I think it's interesting that Jason got arrested in a city a couple hours away from me last week!
