I was just thinking that wearing a bra is like wearing a t-shirt and you may sweat in them and usually wearing a top once I throw it in the dirty laundry. I don't do this with my bra's but maybe I should start? I'd be afraid of them wearing down though, and I buy from VS that are over $40 each.
I hand wash bras once every week or week and a half. During that week, I usually wear 4 of them in a rotation (I always wait at least one day before wearing the same bra again). I use forever new lingerie soap and I can tell that the elastic has been restored after the wash. I usually hook them at the first or second hook the first wear after I wash them, and one tighter after a wear or two. So I can't really bear to go more than a week, for sanitary reasons and to keep my bras in good shape. Of course, after the week I only was the 4 or so that I actually wore the week before.

I try to wash them after I wear them a few times. Usually, after I wear a bra, I end up hanging it on m y dresser draw knobs instead of putting it back in the drawer. So, after I get sick of seeing bras hanging from my dresser, I wash them.
Funny, I was just thinking about this recently. I'm with Bastet; when I get sick of seeing them hanging on the hooks behind the closet door. Every 2-3 weeks, probably.
Hand wash/hang dry, mostly. Then as they start showing wear and tear and become "around the house" bras, they go in a zipper mesh bag in the machine/hang dry.
I also rotate as much as possible and don't wear the same one twice in a row. And if I've been doing sweaty work in the yard or something, they go down the laundry chute posthaste, even if it's only after one wearing.
I have a friend who claims she washes her bras after EACH wear. Sometimes I think she's got OCD, though.
