loved Portia and ditto on Reese! She looked amazing!! I did, however, expect to see a different hairstyle than what she did for the GG. But she still looked so fresh and happy.
HATED Jessica Biel....maybe it was her bad makeup or hair....blah.
How cute is Abigail Breslin? And her little skit with Will Smith's son was funny. They did a good job.
I think Gwyneth and Reese look good. Jennifer Hudson's speech was cute I thought. She just seems like a really genuine, cool person. Like you could hang out with her and have a lot of fun and just be yourself. Her hair was a little weird though. I thought it could have looked better. They kept showing Beyonce when jennifer was speaking and Beyonce looked happy for her.
not usually a Leo fan but he looks hot.

loved kirsten's dress on tv. same with gwyneths, reeses, Helen Mirren and cate blanchetts. I also think emily blunt and isla fisher look pretty. People seemed less orange this year- except for Cameron Diaz and Leo kind of looks orange in this pic. Eh to J lo, penelope's dress, jessica biehl, jennifer hudson, and nicole kidman.
I usually love Nicole's choices, but this year her dress/hair weren't doing it for me. I wish she'd go back to that beautiful red hair...the blonde she's been sporting for a few years now just washes her out. I thought she and Gwyneth looked almost like carbon copies. Same hair, same curve-clinging long dress, though some of the details at the neck were different. Gwyneth did have some phenomenal shine to her hair though! *jealous*
My favorites were Emily Blunt, Helen Mirren, Cate Blanchett, and Portia de Rossi. I thought Cate's was one of the "safest" fashion choices I've seen from her though, which was a little disappointing. I remember when she wore the hummingbird dress to the Oscars...just one of many lovely dresses she's worn. Helen Mirren was stunning and graceful as ever - her acceptance speech was one of my favorites.
I like Reese but I found her look a little blah. I felt like she was just carbon-copying her GG look, but with a fancier dress.
Jennifer Hudson was awesome - when they did the Dreamgirls songs, she was outsinging Miss B, IMO. And I thought Beyonce was trying waaaaay too hard during those numbers. She (B) did look lovely though. I liked J.Hud's dress a lot better when she took that icky jacket off.
I don't particularly care for Kirsten Dunst in general, but I enjoy the whimsy of her fashion choices. She doesn't usually do your "traditional" gown. I thought this worked on her, where on almost anyone else it would have been a wreck.
Hated Cameron's dress, but man - when she smiles, the room lights up! She seemed to have the most energy and happy attitude of any of the presenters. I love her with the darker hair, too.

My fave was definitely Helen Mirren. That dress was stunning on her... so flattering. FH and I were talking about how good she looks for her age... 62! I hope I look that good when I'm that age
I also loved Jennifer Hudson's dress once she took that pimped out jacket off. She and Helen Mirren consistently dress in gowns that are so figure flattering.
My favorite was Kirsten Dunst. I thought the dress was unique and cool. I also really liked Cate Blachette. I loved Cameron Diaz dress, but I hated her shoes.
Didn't really like Gwenyth. I actually think the photo above looks nice, but on camera, I didn't like the way it moved. I also disliked Jada Pinkett Smith, the dress made her look like she didn't have a waist.
I thought a lot of people looked pretty, not too many total disasters. There were lots of gold/nude/champagne dresses, which look really pretty when done right.
I also wouldn't be surprised if JLo announces that's she is preggo. But what is up with her face, it looks like she is doing the blue steel look here, hehe:
FP--LOL at Blue Steel. So true. Sevilla, I agree--Helen Mirren is a f'ing knockout.
I can't stand Gwyneth but I think this dress is really unusual and striking, and she wears it well:
I think this might be my favorite. It's unusual, simple, in a fantastic, flattering color, and it also seems to suit her personality.
This dress washes her out abysmally, I think:
love this, it's gorgeous with her coloring:
Love this color on her, but why does she always insist on such severe cuts? A cut like this does nothing but accentuate how harsh her bone structure is, and how aggressively toned she is. I feel like she always looks like a robot!
again, love this color on her, but her boobs look like they're about to make a break for it!
Something about this seems off to me, but the colors are incredibly flattering:
she looks like a beauty pageant winner with that weird strap! But par for the course... all her dresses always look like pageant dresses... would love to see her in something really classy and understated for a change.
Empire waist: check Maternal glow: check Wider than ususal hips: check Suddenly an extra 10 or so lbs: check Fuller boobs: check Lots of bling on upper half to destract from lower half: check
Let's just hope the baby takes after his/her mom in the looks department.
i loved helen mirren (so classy!), nicole kidman (she looks gorgeous in red), reese (LOVE the dress), and penelope cruz (her dress looked better on tv than in the pictures). i didn't like: kirsten dunst (dress was blah) and jessica biel (didn't look like an oscar dress to me, too casual)

I want to be Helen Mirren when I'm older. She's so beautiful and she seems like a pretty damn cool lady.
Emily Blunt's dress was totally stunning. I don't normally gravitate toward blue, but that color and cut and everything about it was perfect and it looked great with her coloring.
Speaking of coloring, I loved the color of Jessica Biel's dress, but pretty much everything else about it was not-so-great. I'm not a fan of the braless look under such an unstructured dress--it just doesn't seem appropriate for the Academy Awards. And the shape and lack of detail seemed a little too casual. But I'd kill for her body. Bitch.
Overall though, this seemed to be the best bunch of Oscar dresses I've seen in awhile. Most people were occasion-appropriate and it seems as though most people had their bits covered, so that's a plus.
