I used to like her when she first started on the food network, but now she bugs the hell out of me. I've only watched her talk show a couple times, but I thought she seemed really unnatural, like she was trying way to hard to be funny.
Also, I think she dresses really horribly for her body type, which isn't really a good reason not to like the show, but it bugs me. My DH will sometimes flip on her show for a few minutes just because he finds my 10 minute rants about what she's wearing amusing.
I don't really like her either but I've noticed that I kind of get hooked if I start watching her show even for a few minutes. I find her both annoying and mesmerizing.

I feel the same way!!! My bf loves her, i dont know why, i tried cooking one of her 30 minute meals b/c he loves her show so much and it tasted like crap, i know i didnt screw anything up cause it was so simple but I just dont get why she even got a talkshow?????
I saw this on the Gallery of the Absurd a while back and thought it was so true:
While shopping a few weeks ago I noticed Rachael Ray's perpetually perky face plastered all over the place. There she was on magazine covers, books, packages of culinary knives, and most troubling of all, a box of Ritz Crackers. That night, after my Rachael Ray overload, I went online to try and understand how/why she had become so frighteningly ubiquitous. When I came across her recipes for Hotdog Salad and Sangria on a Stick while perusing her website, my fear only intensified. Later that night, I awoke with a terrible jolt after having a nightmare about a giant evil-grinned Rachael Ray chipmunk trying to force me to taste her latest 30-minute recipe "Velveeta Cheese Pie with Triscuit Cracker Crust". YUM-O!
She has a super fake smile everywhere her face is.
I am an antifan. I was just telling my friend about my loathing of her. A person we know heads up the I hate rachel ray fan club and is being interviewed by Cathy Griffin this week. I find this completely amusing. I was also filled about her husbands wierd fettishes and payment for them. Which was really grattifying to hear. I dont really know where this stems from but the food is gross and YUM-O scares me.
My cousin works on her show and she says Rachel is a complete biotch! I used to like her but something about her just seriously gets on my last nerve too. On top of that, the last recipe I made from her literally made me throw up so I'm not a fan of hers right now at all!
I know I'm in the minority here but i love her. I haven't seen the talk show but I hear its painful to watch. As far as her foodnetwork shows I love/loved them all and her cookbooks are excellent. Every recipe I've tried has been awesome and easy to make. I use to subscribe to her magazine but not anymore. Not because I didn't like it but because reader's digest publishes it and I hate their customer service.

I noticed this when I would watch "$40 a Day," and it was incredibly distracting then. Not a fan, and DH really can't stand her.
Plus you know she posed in Maxim, right? Which, of course, is her right to do and all, but in my mind, it makes me take her less seriously as a professional "chef."
There is an anti rachel website fan club don't remember the name but just type 'I hate rachel ray' into google or whatever and you'll find it it is HILARIOUS!!!! I have not laughed so hard in a long time they refer to her as 'ray-tard' 'the joker' etc...
