after getting out of the shower today, i realized i have really dry, almost cracked looking heels... yuck! what can i do about them? i've never had this problem before, so i'm clueless! any product recommendations? help!

I would recommend putting vaseline on before bed and sleeping with socks for a week or so until they heal up. After that, you might want to go to the foot doctor to get them checked out - same if they are painful or seem red and irritated.
I can normally keep them at bay by keeping a pumice stone in the shower and remembering to moisturize - so I completely sympathize!

Ditto - I would say exactly the same thing- Also, Burts Bees makes a nice foot cream, similar to vaseline, with a nice coconut smell. I also put it on in the morning after my shower (after a quick pumice stone rub, every morning.)
I'll second the burt bees foot balm. You can buy it in a cute little pack with a pumice stone and sock for sleeping in too (they aren't linty). Just be careful when you are getting into the shower in the morning, it can be pretty slippery and catch someone who is only half awake off guard.
