Hey Girls I wanted to share! My SIL gave me her reciepe for fondue yesterday and I made it and it turned out fantastic!!!!!!!!!

So here goes-

2 cups white wine
1 clove garlic
2 cups swiss cheese (grated)
1/2 cup Sharp White cheddar(grated)
1/2 cup Havariti (grated)


chop up garlic and saute in wine. Slowly add in handfulls of cheese until fully melted. once completly melted transfer to fondue pot.

So Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Hey AllieGurl! Help me here:

My husband has been hassling me to throw a fondue party, and I've been ignoring him. Here's my question: is there any truth to the rumor that you cannot drink water at a fondue dinner - white wine only?

An acquaintance said she made the mistake of serving water and people were well nigh ill at the end of the night. She said something about water causing the cheese to congeal in the stomach and...ugh, it sounded really unpleasant. Is she crazy?

butting in here, i have never heard such a thing. My hubby and I frequent the Melting Pot quite a lot and I always have water with my fondue dinner.

susoria... never heard that before. I personally dont really like wine. DH always drinks it with dinner but I usually have diet coke or water.
