Anyone remember when bluefly was cool?
I'm seriously so disappointed with them. I used to order from them a few times a year, and scored some great deals. It wasn't hard back then. Then their prices started going up, and their return policies changed.

That said, I decided to give them another shot & bought a Gucci tote from them a few weeks ago. It turned out to be too big for me & I returned it pretty much the next day. That was over three weeks ago. I had delivery confirmation and they've had it for 15 business days. I haven't received a refund yet, nor any indication they're processing my refund. The website says to expect a refund btw 10-14 business days.

I called them, was on hold forever and was directed to a voice mail box. No call back yet.

Did I mention this is a $1500 bag? I have visions of bluefly really being an investing firm undercover- by now they've probably made a pretty penny with my $.
Ugh, I'm so annoyed!

i haven't had problems with their returns dept, but i will comment to say their prices have definitely gone up and i feel deals are fewer and farther between! for example, a robert rodriguez top i got at a local boutique last year for $30 is now on their site for $150. granted, it was a major steal, but still!

I've noticed the prices have gone up.  I finally got a pair of pumps in my size that I tried to buy 7 or so months before...of course they were $100 more then they were then.  However I did get a Gucci bag that is on the Gucci website right now for about $450 more!

I just ordered a panty and tank set...what arrived was two tanks, no panties.  I emailed them and received a reply the next day, they are sending out a new set...and offered me free shipping on my next purchase, so hopefully the return of that goes smoothly.

I just ordered three bags to try and find a laptop bag.  I returned two last week and am keeping the Gucci.  I'll see how long it takes for those refunds to show up and let you know.  Maybe you should send them an email too!

I remember a while back when some girls on hear were beind refused on Bluefly because of the ammount of returns they had.  I keep waiting for them to do that to me but honestly with no reviews and usually only one pic of the item it's hard sometimes to decide until you see it in person!

well, since bluefly is a store that takes the risk of buying leftovers and selling them online where people can't try things on (i think designers sell extras/last season merch for below wholesale) they still have to have a certain markup- which will result in things being less than retail, but not dirt cheap.  I usually browse there when I want something from last/current season that I missed out on but was willing to pay full price for.

I have not ordered from them now in over a year and a half. The prices went up, the selection seems boring and I can score way cooler items at better prices on ebay!

Well, nobody ever called me back after leaving a message Friday. I e-mailed them too and got the default "wait 10-14 business days" reply, despite the fact my email siad it had been 15 business days already.
I called them back today and they needed a delivery confirmation number. After I provided one, they refused to count the delivery day (which was 8:30 am), or today as business days - so that according to her math, today would be the 14th business day, and she could not do anything till tomorrow at the earliest.   Give me a break!  I could possibly understand why she would not count the delivery date even though it arrived at 8:30 am, but today??  That was ridiculous
She finally agreed to submit a credit to my account today, but said it would take 5-7 business days to process.  I've had about enough.
One thing though, I am so glad I got delivery confirmation and insurance.  If not for that, I'd be subject to wait indefinitely it seems!

UPDATE:
I need to VENT!
It has been a week since they supposedly processed my refund. I never got an email confirming this, haven't gotten my refund, and when I checked my online order there was no sign of a return. At this point it's been over a month since I mailed this back, and 25 days since they received it.

So I called them again today..... only to hear that they haven't even processed my return! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! It's like last week never happened at all. HOW DARN FRUSTRATING!

I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said there were no supervisors there today. I have never heard of any business where there are ZERO supervisors present on any given day (I know it's President's day, but come on!!).

It has been a week since they agreed to process my return. It's okay if it's been processed and just not gone through, but they haven't even initiated the process, which they promised to do!

Aside from that, their online policy states 10-14 business days to process returns and it's been WAY OVER that.
I don't know what else to do. I am waiting for a supervisor to call me back, but they said it would be 24-48 hours before that would happen. Then they had the nerve to say "Maybe" my return will get processed by then.

I don't know if I'm being exaggerative, but I honestly feel they are giving me the runaround. I do not want to pay off my credit card (this is the only charge on it) because I'm expecting this $1500 refund, but I'm going to start accruing finance charges and it's just not fair that I should pay for that anytime beyond the 14 day limit they state on their website.

i'm baffled they said there were no supervisors!

this is really ridiculous, though. when i had a return it was only a $60 sweater, so it was no big deal to pay the charge if it came on the current billing cycle, but $1500 is some major cash to be waiting on!

Well I sent back two Chloe bags and I got the refund on the second one but still haven't on the first one.  Now I have to wait till I get home this weekend to get the tracking number.  I really wish they could stream-line this process.  2 weeks+ is a long time to wait for a refund on such expensive items.

Whoa - you need to call your credit card co. and dispute the charge. I hate Bluefly, for the record - I think they have some very sketchy business practices...

Final (hopefully) update:
No supervisor ever called me within the 48 hours, so I called back, asked for a supervisor again & was told the same story. No supervisor ever called me back 48 hours after that.

So, I filed a complaint with the BBB. I received an email this morning that my return was processed.  FINALLY!  Hopefully I'll see the money back in my account next week.

I called Bluefly back to ask for corporate's address & magically got a supervisor right away. Geez. She was apologetic & said she was giving me 20% off my next purchase.  A little too late for that!
I'm still writing a letter to corporate. This was beyond ridiculous.  Anyway, I'm not claiming victory until I see the money in my account, but at least I got to talk to a sup finally.

That is so insane V!  Sorry you had to deal w/all of that, but I'm glad you're taking action and writing to corporate and filed a compliant w/the BBB.  That's more than what most people would do.  They've gotten really shady and I know I'll never be ordering from them again.  20% off is nothing for all the grief you had to go through, and you'd think they would show a customer who dropped $1500 a little more respect!

I am finally getting to catch up around here and I have to say the return process at Bluefly is horrendous!  I returned something Jan 3rd in the mail and it took them 3 weeks to acknowledge the return and to start the refund process. I emailed them about my return with the tracking number and never heard a peep from them.  After that I have not even looked at their site nor would consider buying anything from them.
