So, I went ahead and used this color: Glidden light topaz, for my Dining area.  The kitchen part is going to be a pain because I either have to primer it first or sand it.  I will do it over the summer if it bugs me too much.  What do you girls think?  
 
 

 
It's really not as orangey peachy yellow as it looks.  The flash is changing the color some.  If you go on the Glidden website you can probably see the color better.

The color goes great with the floors. Don't worry about the kitchen walls being painted. I think it looks fine next to the dining room the way it is.

Looks great!  And love those little rack things you hung in the kitchen.  I think that if you hang a colorful picture in there you can get by without painting it.
