It isn't a fashion comment, but the last two times I've expected an order, there's been something terribly disappointing. I understood they were busy around the holidays, but they did not alert me that my order would not ship until January 3 - I had to check their site to learn this. Luckily I cancelled it without a problem.
Now this: my father-in-law ordered 14 books for us three weeks ago. 4 just arrived today. 8 will not be likely to ship for another week, and 2 they now say they have to charge additional shipping for. Excuse me? Have you ever had a merchant come back and say they need to charge more?
I'm so done with them...I would just cancel the rest of this, but it's my FIL's order, not mine. They're just getting worse and worse.
That's so dumb. I haven't ordered anything off of Amazon lately, but I would be PISSED if they tried to tell me after the order that they were going to charge more.

I had an issue with amazon recently. I ordered boots and returned them promptly. I still had not received my refund and was getting impatient. i called cust. service and the person I spoke to didn't seem to understand why I couldn't just wait for the refund. As soon as i was done speaking to customer service, I received an email asking if I was satisfied with the outcome of the conversation. Of couse i replied, "NO!". They called me again, but this time they offered to refund the entire purchase amount, including shipping.
The point of my long story is to call customer service or use the live chat option. Even if they *think* charging more for the additional books is just protocol, they may decide against it once you actually speak to them(a few times).
The outcome thus far is we've returned a bunch and my FIL is getting a refund on his credit card versus an Amazon gift certificate or something relevant to us as the recipients. The fact that we've gotten this far is due to the CS people, bless their hearts for what they must have to listen to, and we still had to send the returned items back at our expense, which is irritating, but whatever.
