I think I am allergic to strawberries, because about half the time that I eat them, I get a hive. My question is, if I keep eating them, will my allergy get worse? My friend keeps telling me that some day I'll go into anaphylactic shock. Is this true? I hope not, because I love strawberries. Thanks!

Since everyone and every allergy has different reactions I would just be very cautious. I think you can get real conclusions by visiting the dr and seeing an allergist who gives you a test to grade how allergic you are. But in general I would stay away from the strawberries.
Have you noticed a pattern with the hives? Like is it only when you go to a certain restaurant, grocery store, or a certain brand you buy?
It could be something that is used on or with the strawberries and maybe not the strawberries themselves. My brother had a bad reaction to strawberry jelly but not strawberries. My bf has reactions to shrimp but only at one restaurant so its probably something else not the shrimp.
Hmm, I actually never thought of that aurora! When I eat strawberries that are blended in smoothies, I don't get them. But, if I eat them plain, I usually do. I'll have to keep an eye on that.
