So, as you know from my other posts, we have bought a house. I have picked out a few colors to paint the walls, but definitely would like some feedback...
Living room:
not a great pic, but it is just a square room...with 3 walls, the fourth side open to the doorway. There are only windows on the one wall. I am less than thrilled with the tile color on the fire place, but I have decided to try to ignore it a little bit. It is a greenish color with black in it.
Here is the color I would love to have in the living room (but is it horrible with the fireplace tile?)
The color is Cornsilk: and I would paint the wood molding, crown molding, window frames, and fireplace the atrium white color.
For the Kitchen, I am a little torn...I love the Wethersfield Moss color above, leaving the cabinets white.... However, there is one cabinet that you cannot see...it has glass doors, so I would like to have my dishes showing through it...they are this color:What other kitchen colors would you suggest?
Then for the master bathroom...I'll paint the woodwork an doors white,
I am LOVING this color:
In general, I am loving Benjamin Moore's Spring 2007 Color Pallette for Pottery Barn:
The cornsilk will work just fine with the green tiles, me thinks. In fact, with the white trim, I think it will give the room a lovely, warm, vintage feel. (Hopefully that's the kind of thing you're going for!)
The Wethersfield Moss will be great for the kitchen, too... it's a nice, rich neutral that will go great with your blue plates, the fireplace, and your cabinets.
And finally, I LOVE blue bathrooms, and the Wedgwood Gray is just divine!
I like the colors you choose. I really can't tell the color of the fireplace tile though. Go with the paint color you like, you can always change tile right?
I Ben Moores colors! We went and got a ton of paint chips because they makes such beautiful colors, and then had them mixed into Behr paint from Home Depot - saved us $15 a gallon!
IMO it's harder to go wrong with a Ben Moore color - they seem to offer alot more colors that would actually look nice in real homes. The colors are ... softer? More balanced? Anyway we've had much better luck liking their colors on our actual walls than we have with other brands, which always seem to come out too bright or too gray.
I think all your color choices are beautiful!
