usually i go dark in the winter time. like dark dark brunette dark and then slowly advance back into golden light blonde for summer. but the switch in winter is extremely drastic and fun!!!
today is my appointment and i really really want to go dark- but my engagement photos are being taken while my hair would be dark... and i probably should be blonde like i will be in my wedding photos, right?
argh! doing nothing but the same old thing to my hair is killing me! i can't get it cut fun b/c it needs to grow for the wedding and i can't color it fun b/c it needs to be the same color as the day of my wedding!!!!
okay I may be wrong here, but I think it would be okay to go with dark hair now. Its you that needs to be happy and if you are like me and Iam not happy with the color it drives me nuts.
Will it bug you to have two different hair colors in photos? (engagement/pre-wedding and day of wedding)
If so, maybe just do some pyramid low lights (is that the right word for it?) so you can pull back the dark pieces in the photos and it will still seem light. I've done this before and a quick set of clips made me look light all over again. Or vice versa.

yeah, thats the thing... people might be used to me having different hair colors- but overall- i think of myself as a blonde.
doesn't matter though- because i went dark!!! nicole richie dark!! love it! and i made my next appointment for right before our pictures so i can have her lift my color back up so its more of a dirty blonde...

I do the exact same thing as you. I think if it would bug you, I would stay blonde until your next appointment. How will you feel about the different pictures 5 - 10 years from now? If it were me, I'd probably stay the lighter color for this appointment, so there was less of a contrast in the photos.
