What are your "go to" fall/winter items or things that you get compliments on when you wear them?

My tall black boots, of course, and, this is weird, but an actual short, plaid school girl skirt that I bought for a costume party and then started wearing for real.

My best coat - it's a gray calvin klein coat, it's so beautiful, goes to my knees, and looks like it was tailored for me

And all of my snuggly sweaters...everything I wear looks really soft, so everyone always says I look cozy

My ivory wrap sweater, my metallic snakeskin Mary Janes (I used to fear that they were a little too crazy, but I get compliments every time I wear them!), and my coats -- especially my camel toggle coat and my violet double-breasted coat.

A wool jersey dress by theory.  It's a surplice bodice with an empire waist in black.  I love it - not only is it chic and a little different from the traditional black dress, but it is ridiculously comfortable.  It's in my latest TS post.

This coat. I seriously call it my Compliment Coat, because unfailingly I get several compliments on it every time I wear it. Even straight men often compliment me on it!

I absolutely love it.

I have gotten more compliments on these $17 patent Payless shoes than I have on all other items in my closet combined! Even the manly-men (construction manager) guys at work are fascinated by them.

These boots are pretty popular too. They were $36. Go figure.

It's weird, I got complimented on the most unexpected things:

gray and red Argyle turtleneck sweater.. speaking of which, I need to dig that out of my closet

Knee high boots of all kinds - I got a new pair pf Franco Sarto flat heel back leather boots - and EVERY time I wear them I get so many comliments from guys. They look like riding boots with the zipper up the back - must be the "kink" factor of the riding thing - I need a crop now! Giddyup!

The crew members on my show are endlessly fascinated with my Grail hoodie. The same hoodie was used in the show in a different color. Everyone loves that the bird is not prissy, but slightly badass.

Also, the C&C boatneck sweater is a hit with everyone.

Halleybird - Does anyone ever ask how your horse is when you wear them?  Every time that I wear them my boss asks how Trigger handled the commute into work.

As for my complimented items - my Nanette Lepore coat from the BF (I swear I have never not gotten a compliment while wearing it), my little charcoal bow bolero by Me and You (from Urban)Me & You Cropped Herringbone Bolerosorry - the dumb sold out sign is blocking the jacket
