there are some days when i feel that brushing my tongue just doesn't cut it. i'm wondering if i should get a tongue cleaner and scrape to my heart's content (it's official: i'm weird), but i wanted to hear your opinions/experiences. anyone have strong feelings on this topic? does it help? is it bad for you? any brand recs?
You can usually get these for free from your dentist when you go in for a cleaning, with the floss and toothbrushes they give out. They're supposed to help cut down on tartar buildup - I don't use one on a terribly regular basis (though there isn't any harm to doing so!), but I find them usefull when I've eaten something that seems to leave my mouth feeling extra fuzzy ....

I have no help for you, although now you've gotten me to thinking about this for myself...
I just wanted to say that I think you're adorable, and I hope you know I dont' mean that in any kind of patronizing way. I mean it in the most respectful kind of way. I guess I'm weird, too, because I thought it was hilarious when you said "i'm wondering if i should get a tongue cleaner and scrape to my heart's content"

I brush my tongue with my toothbrush every night. My mouth feels gross if I don't. I've thought about getting a tongue scraper but just haven't. I'm also curious if there is one that is better than another.
