Do you wear the same perfume, or varying ones?

For a long time, I've consistantly worn the same two scents - one for work and other un-party like occasions, and one for when I'm going out with friends or at a party. I know that scent is the strongest sense tied to memory, and one of my favorite things is to get a whiff of a perfume or cologne that reminds me of a loved one. So I know this is corny, but I wanted to have a "signature scent", so when people who love me smelled it anywhere else, they'd think of me.

But recently I've gotten a few sample bottles of perfumes that I really like - .25 oz, which lasts me for quite a while. So I've worn them a little to test them out, and I really, really like them. But I like my old scents too, and I'm not ready to give those up. But if I wear different perfumes all the time, my whole theory about having a signature scent goes out the window.

Am I crazy?

Anyway, I'm just wondering what you guys do - do you have one or two perfumes you wear all the time, or do you change them up for your mood?

I have a "signature" scent that I wear most days and for special occasions/events, but I do switch it up once in a while. There are other scents I like too, plus I find if I wear the same one al the time I don't notice it myself as much because I get used to it.

I have one "signature" scent that I wear on dates with hubby and special occasions and family events. Another favorite that I wear often, and 2 more that are in heavy rotation. Then I have a seperate stash of perfumes to fit a particular mood. These are perfumes I liked enough to buy once but won't make a regular part of my repitoire.

I'm not much help....

I usually only have one full size bottle of perfume and use it until it is gone and then buy a new scent. If I get some sample sizes I will use them occasionally between uses of my regular perfume.

I alternate between a work/weekend perfurm that I just adore because it's me - and another softer/sweeter perfume that is also me - but more fun.

I'm contemplating purchasing another perfume that I wore once - the week I got engaged in Italy - I had a sample tester.  I really liked it and it brings back such happy memories.  Maybe for the holidays?

That's what I do!

I vary between lots of them. I get bored of one scent quickly & like to try different stuff. I do like your theory of having a signature scent though it has ruined me for some I really like because they remind me of people that I now really don't.

i've always wanted to have a signature scent too!  but i don't, and i don't even wear perfume everyday cause sometimes it gives me a headache...

in general though, i wear three different perfumes: one for everyday, one for everyday that's a little heavier that i like to wear more when it's cold (which i know probably makes no sense), and one for special or fancy occasions that i wear whenever i'm dressed up for something fun.  but sometimes i cheat and wear that one when i just want to feel special, but still not very often.

I have a 'main' scent that I guess would be my signature scent - I have it in two different weights, a lighter one for day and a heavier one for night.  I also have a holiday scent thats warm and spicy, a special occasion scent that I wore to all functions related to our wedding and plan to continue to wear for anniversary dinners and stuff), and a light green scent that I wear sometimes in the warmer months that's a little more casual.

I wear different perfumes/body sprays on a daily basis. I really don't have a signature scent, but my fave perfume is Giorgio of Beverly Hills. Old, I know, but I still love it the most. So yes, I wear different perfumes according to my mood.

Soo I just discovered that perfume only has the shelf life of a year. I never knew that before! I bought a big bottle last year thinking it would last me for a couple years, but I guess it's about to die. I realized this when I busted out VS's "So in Love" the other day and remembered loving it when I bought it a year or two ago, but it smelled like old lady and when I looked on the internet I found that its time is almost up.

So, I guess this will be much less of a conundrum once I've cleaned out all the perfumes I've had for more than a year!

I'll probably always have at least 2 I'll rotate between because I do get bored easily and don't like getting into a rut. That being said, I just recently found what I think is going to be my signature scent (DKNY Be Delicious), but I still like to switch to my Gap Dream occasionally

...and because I am a nerd

I change my perfume with the season. I find what is ok during the winter is too heavy for summer. So I have 3 or 4 perfumes, and I switch between them every 3 months. it's long enough for them to become my "signature scent", but I still have variety and look forward to wear something different when the season changes

I know, I am pathtic
