Music Like Buddha Bar...
Permalink Closed

When I clean, work at home, etc..I love to listen to high energy music (usually with no lyrics or even foreign lyrics) but I don't have a wide variety.  I like Buddha Bar and Gotan Project, but other than that, I don't really have a ton.  Can anyone suggest some music.  Maybe Brazillianish and high-energy?

Totally random post I know.

I have had pretty good luck by looking at "Customers who bought this item also bought" in Amazon for the given album/artist. There's a few pages for Buddha Bar, but you might find something you like. The albums also have sound bytes so you can listen to it a little before you buy. PLUS - we have an Amazon link at the bottom of the forum

ETA: you might like Deep Forest - it's kind of ethno techno... they take music from a bunch of different cultures and mix it. It's really cool. You might also like Afrocelt.

I'm really in to this type music right now.

Try the new group Bitter:Sweet, they have been played on a few Grey's Anatomy episodes. Go to Amazon and check it out, it's really good.

Also:

Bebel Gilberto (played on Nip/Tuck)

Morcheeba

Thievery Conspiracy

Weekend Players

Afterlife

Supreme Beings of Leisure

Pink Martini

Fashion TV

Here are just a few, hope this helps!

i think i may be leaning towards the "sit there and relax" side of this music, rather than the run around and clean the house...

anyways, i like those ones :)

oh, and also, if you go to hbo online and look at the music credits from sex and the city, i bet you'd find more you'd like :)
