Has anyone tried this? While searching in the depths under my bathroom sink, I found a box of this I bought a few months ago and never used. It says it will make my hair really shiny and everything - has anyone else used this? If so, what did you think of it? I don't want to use it today because I have a bunch of nothing coming up in my calendar, and I'd hate to waste brilliant hair on me sitting around in my PJs. On the other hand, if I wait until the weekend or something I'm afraid I'll put it in and it will be a disaster and my hair will be gross instead of beautiful!

I also tried the JF one, and didn't like it, but I really want to try the Clairol! I almost bought it today while at Wal-Mart, but then I wanted to check MUA before I buy it.

I used the blonde JF one, and IMO, it didn't do anything. I also have dark blonde roots, and when they're a bit longer than they should be, if I use the JF, it makes them look oily. But the JF is a rinse-out glaze - it's not permanent.

maybe a little teeny bit, but the thing I hated least was that it seemed to make my hair more red. I dyed my hair a neutral medium brown, so I bought the dark brown color, but it kept bringing out these brassy/orangey tones every time I used it. On top of all that, it didn't really make it more shiny, which was the whole point!

I haven't tried the clairol one yet, but I love the JF one. It's one of the few things that I actually have to make sure to replace right away when I run out. My hair is light golden blonde with red undertones, very coarse and very dry. The JF glaze lightens it just a tad (really brightens more than lightens) and makes it really smooth and silky. People always comment on how good my hair looks after I use it (which is usually once a week or so).

ITA! It made my hair look brassy as well, and I didn't see a whole lot of shine.

i had the same problem with the jf glaze. also, i have the kind of hair that doesn't hold a curl to save it's life so i use mousse when i curl my hair, and even with mousse, it made my hair so limp the curl came right out and my hair fall flat. and i use the garnier fructis xxl volume mousse and it is serious stuff.

Thanks you guys! Last night I made a midnight trip to Walmart to get out of my apartment. I actually pickecked up the JF glaze thinking it looked neat and I started to walk away and I thought "wait.... I shouldn't be doing this for some reason...." (hey, it was late!)
my hair can't hold any curl either, so it's a good thing I didn't get this!
