I don't think we've done one of these in a while...and I'm totally procrastinating on getting this discovery done..
1. Favorite "affordable" designers?
Nanette Lepore, Theory, DVF, Elie Tahari
2. Favorite big-time designers?
Chanel, Missoni, Luisa Beccaria
3. Favorite basics
J. Crew
4. Favorite Icons
Catherine Deneuve. The woman makes everything look good! Audry Hepburn - because I have brown hair and love ballet flats!
5. Favorite current dressers
I don't really have one. I feel like so many people dress the same (I guess I'm not too into the whole big stylist thing) but I generally like what Michelle Williams and Zoey Deschanel wear. They always look pretty and not like they try too hard.
6. Favorite pieces
(this changes from season to season, but right now...) My Cole Haan tall Air Austen boots - perfect and comfy for the weekends, but I can still get away with them at work. My Paul & Joe kimono top...so pretty and fun...I can wear it to work and feel all pretty and ethereal. My DVFs. Those three dresses work so hard all year round.
7. Favorite brand of jeans
As represented in my closet, Joe's and Seven are currently tied. I love the Seven boycut as a flattering straight leg, and love my Joe's socialites for a good jean with heels.
8. Favorite shoes
My leopard Choos. They are hot and they make me feel hot when I wear them. Plus, my cats think they are teeny animals and try to nuzzle them. It's cute. A close second would be my tall, pointy black boots. They are Cole Haan and really comfortable, yet still very hot.
9. Favorite weekend look
Either a skirt or jeans and flats with a long sleeve tee and a fun necklace.
10. Favorite Colors
Teal, all shades of pink, peach, purples with warm undertones and greys.
11. Wardrobe holes
I've been working on the patterned top problem, and I think things should be back in balance by the end of this year.
12. Favorite jewelry
(other than my wedding/engagement rings) my black pearl pendant and my coral beads. I wear those beads a ridiculous amount, but they look so good, especially with green.
H&M pencil skirt, short-sleeved burgundy wrap sweater from UO last year, capped-sleeve blouses from Forever21 and H&M, dresses from Zara and F21.
7. Favorite brand of jeans
Seven, probably, because I have the most from them. Also Salt Works and COH.
8. Favorite shoes
At the moment, my Nine West cream/black mary janes.
9. Favorite weekend look
I want to say something fabulous, but usually just jeans and a T or sweater.
10. Favorite Colors
Green, grey, medium pinks
11. Wardrobe holes
patterns! I just finished acquiring basic sweaters, so I really don't need more basics. I need more patterns and more blouses, and a few more skirts/dresses.
12. Favorite jewelry
My wedding set, of course. The St. Christopher pendant I wear every day, and my silver flower earrings from Paris.
13. (My addition ) Next purchase?
Grey shoes, sweater dress, turtleneck and straight-legged pants are next on my list.

I also like greens, most pinks, black, brown, and a good burnt orange/rust.
11. Wardrobe holes
Since I couldn't bring everything to the ATL with me and I have a walk in closet here I feel I like have a wardrobe hole everywhere.
The big ones are:
boots: especially flat ones for kicking around. I'm convinced I'll be saying this until I'm dead. I love knee high boots but boots don't love my calves.

ALSO, it is freezing here in the winter yet i don't own a down coat. (or even a winter coat that is super warm)
12. Favorite jewelry vintage costume jewelry.
13. Next Purchase if the h&m near me has leather opera length gloves, i might go and get those today. otherwise, there is a pair of shoes i am eyeing on ebay.
1. Favorite "affordable" designers? Qualifier: people in this category are only affordable because they show up regularly at my Loehmann's marked down from retail price by like 70%. So, that would be: theory, Nanette Lepore, Rebecca Taylor, BCBG, Laundry. Not especially affordable but not the most expensive things on earth: Catherine Malandrino, Vince (love their knits), Michelle Mason, Twelfth Street. Found a great line at Loehmann's the other day that I'd never heard of, Wyeth. I could have bought everything!
4. Favorite Icons I really do have to say Audrey Hepburn, but I'm mostly thinking of her in Breakfast at Tiffany's, so that has a lot to do with my love for a lot of those incredibly classic sixties clothes.
5. Favorite current dressers Definitely Rachel Bilson. I don't like everything she wears, but when I do I LOVE it, and she always looks like herself.
6. Favorite pieces black H&M sweater (it's magical, it looks a bazillion times classier than it has any right to); red silk halter dress; pewter Botkier; new off-black Nanette Lepore fancy jeans.
7. Favorite brand of jeans Joe's.

11. Wardrobe holes Dressy clothes, evening shoes, jewelry, evening bags. I almost never have any reason to dress up, but since I started my new job, my boss has been sending me to cocktail-hour events and I've been scrambling to come up with stuff that I think looks polished enough.

13. Next Purchase Dark polished-looking skinny jeans and possibly dark brown knee boots.
