I hurt my big toe, the toenail, actually, when I was playing basketball. I'm pretty sure it's going to fall off. I know if will grow back, but in the interim, would it be totally weird to use fake nails? Is that even possible? I can see where the healthy part of the nail is starting to grow back in, so there would be something to attach the nail to.
Sorry, I know this is kind of icky. I hate feet!! Eh, at least sandal season is almost over...
When I played soccer in highschool, I always was missing a big toe nail from one foot or the other. For a vacation, I filed down a drug store plastic nail (the thumb sized one) and glued it on the healthy little part and painted it. It worked.
However, it seems like I have read about people getting acrylics put on their feel. Their has been a debate about how safe it would be due to bacteria. But, I would think that if you removed the fake ever 2 weeks to check the nail and to reposition it, it would be okay. You'd just have to pay close attention.
So, I say, one way or another, put on a fake. You still have 2 months of peep toe wearing to go, you gotta!
