I've started powerwalking and lift 5lb weights at home while watching TV. I'm really frustrated because it seems like my pants are fitting tighter instead of loose. In the past, it seems like every time I try to start working out this happens to me and I get discouraged and quit.
Why does my body feel worse in clothes but I know that physically I feel better? I feel leaner and stronger but now my current clothes feel tight.
Unfortunately, with the rain we've had lately it seems like I'll walk for one or two days and off a day or two. A friend of mine said that I was building muscle underneath the fat and that is why my clothes feel tighter. She says that I need to be consistent and keep it up and then the fat will burn off.
This is frustrating- has this ever happened to anyone?
