Thank goodness for paint samples because I don't think either of these colors are going to work! Both of them turned out a lot brighter/funky than I envisioned. I want green but not "oh my that's green!" They make the quilt I picked out look colorless and bland looking. I'm beginning to think I should return it for something with a pink/red floral for a complimentary look.
Any thoughts or ideas on color selection and bedding?
Actually I don't really mind the color on the left...I think it looks cool/clean against the white quilt. I like the the idea of white or mostly white bedding against a dramatic wall color...I'd use an accent color in the form of: shams and/ or toss pillows and maybe some other accessories placed within the room. With that green I could see as you mentioned pink/red or navy/royal blue, chocolate brown or some shades of purple...
Have you tried matching the color of the quilt on a paint chip and then going 2 or 3 shades deeper on that same card? That's how I get stuff to coordinate a lot of times. Or find a nice complimentary color - if it's light green, then the complimentary color would be a terra-cotta/orange-y color.
