Oh, I'm so sorry this bad news has thrown you for a loop. The fair today should at least help with keeping your mind occupied, hopefully, and off this bad news. I don't know what happened in your situation, but remind yourself that you are strong and fabulous and an awesome mom with a wonderful toddler! Whatever happened, you are now on the road to a better life. Maybe being at this fair will also be good because you'll be around other parents who have this in common with you. Be nice to yourself today, and any time this brings you down. Sending good thoughts and a big hug your way!

Ditto!
I don't know you in person, but from everything you've posted before you seem like you really have your head on straight and that you're a great mom who always puts her child first. That is something you should be very proud of.
Maybe today you don't feel very celebratory, but maybe getting pizza and ice cream for you and your son would be enough. You don't have to go overboard--just be good to yourself and it'll be reflected in the way you approach the day. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
At any rate, we had a good time at the fair...free school supplies and free hotdogs! :) How can you beat that, right? :)
I'm thinking of going and getting one of those JCPenney portraits done of the two of us....kind of a new annual tradition. Maybe by this time next year, I'll be able to turn it into more of a celebration.

Sorry you had a tough day. I think a portrait of the two of you annually is a great idea. You really made the best of a hard day. Even though we don't "know" each other please know that I'm here if you ever need to talk about anything. I think that we are all cheering for you and your son. You are doing so many good things for the two of you. He is blessed to have you for a mommy.
I'm glad you were able to make the most of a bad day. It's good that you had a fun activity to keep you busy. I think the annual portrait is a wonderful tradition to include in your "Family Anniversary Day."
