I currently use Laura Mercier's, but as luck would have it, I'm running out of most of my everyday makeup at the same time, and I need to cut corners There are certain more expensive products that I'm not willing to give up, so while I love her tinted moisturizer, I'm hoping to find a drugstore brand that will work. I just can't swing the $40 on top of all the other crap I have to buy. What's good out there? Under $20, please!
Um, I've never used expensive make-up (I just graduated from college and have never had the budget for it), so I don't know how helpful this will be. But I find that Cover Girl's tinted moisturizer works just fine for me. It's only about $7 a tube.
lauren hutton good stuff tinted moisturizer. it is great. not oily, but a good moisturizer but doesn't lack in the tinted end. the cap has a concealer and a mirror in it.
Recently I have been just mixing my moisturizer with a little bit of foundation and putting it on a sponge and blotting it on my face. I have been so impressed at how great it covers the redness in my face. I have dry skin so just putting foundation on does not work because it just ends up getting absorbed into the dry spots.
My method i have been using has been leaving my face looking flawless.

may i suggest cutting corners on color or mascara or something like that. foundation, tinted moisturizer should not be scrimped on. there is usually a huge difference in quality in drugstore vs. dept. store when in comes to complexion stuff.
if you had to, i would try maybelline pure makeup. its coverage is actually a little heavier but the texture is very water-y and light. this is one of the best drug store products i have tried in a long time!
i also hear good things about cover girl's tinted moisturizer.
if you are searching for another dept store rec., i like both becca's and bobbi brown's.
Currently I am using Bobbi Brown foundation and Origins moisturizer, but i have also done it with loccitane moisturizer. Overall i have been really impressed with bobbi brown foundation.

ITA.
I don't believe in skimping on anything skin-colored as a whole (concealer, foundation, tinted moisturizers, etc.) but I was pleasantly surprised by this...nice colors, good coverage, and it feels great on.

i tried the pure makeup, and liked the light coverage and the feel and all, but my only problem is, i am very neutral colored. i am not pink or yellow and the foundation colores all came in very yellow colors or pink colors and they all looked unnatural on me.
Well, girls, I'm going to head to Sephora and find a new TM this weekend. I figure that if I'm willing to give up LM tinted moisturizer in order to buy my other "must haves", then it's not a "must have" at all, and I'm just not going to buy it, especially since it's so pricey. BUT, I will find something I like and spend the extra $$$ if I have to. I'll let you know what I find!
Stila TM is around $28 and I am happy with it. I tried benefit and I hated it. It comes in one color which is very dark and I looked like I had slathered mud all over my face.
Sephora brand use to have a TM but I'm not sure on the quality or if they still have it. Some of their stuff is hit or miss.

I hated Benefit, too. It made me look dirty. I like Bobbi Brown and Tarte, but recently when I needed to cut corners, I tried Sonia Kashiuk or whatever her name is from Target. I was pleasantly surprised.
I really like the stila tinted moisturizer. It's light and creamy, and the coverage is sheer but good. Lately, I've been creating my own to get a little bit more sun protection. I mix my peter thomas roth oil free spf 30 with a tiny pump of the stila illuminating foundation. It's a really sheer mix and gives me a nice glow with a little bit more moisture.
