I'm in the early stages of planning a huge reunion of a bunch of college friends in Vegas. About half of us will be over 21 and half will be underage (oh dear...). None of us have made our fortunes yet and are looking for what will be a weekend of debauchery.
Where on the strip would be a good place to stay that is NOT a motel or motel-like but where we can be loud and raucous and all that fun stuff? We'd probably stay 4 to a room and there could be up to 16 girls.
I keep coming back to this one & I'm really really torn because of the under 21s. Everywhere that we went they were really strict about checking ids so I really don't know where they can go, other than just around the casinos, which to be honest is the most fun for me. The last trip I went on we stayed at NYNY & I really liked it - the rooms weren't anything special, but we had a room with 2 double beds for about $70 a night - seems that they always have them on special. What are your plans while you are there? I guess my question is, since you have under 21s with you, will you primarily hang out at the pool? Never go to the pool? The pool at Mandalay is FANTASTIC but it is a little far - all the way on the end of the strip & quite a ride to Caesars/ Bellagio. Naturally all the Caesar/Belliago/Venitian are really nice but I find the rooms really pricey & I'm not a hotel girl, so I don't think it's worth it. I know some people do though.....
Answer those questions & I'll come back to this later

Yeah, and I looked at the bargain hunter one - I disagree completely due to the cost of cabs to get you to all those cheap places - unless you have a car, which is also a whip IMHO

1. No under-21s allowed. As a recent member of the 21 and up club, I realize this sucks for half of my friends, but Vegas is too tough on the fake IDs and most of my friends look and act way younger than 21.
2. Hotel is taken care of...suppose to be nice since my friend got the rooms from her father. This friend's father also has a suite at the Staples Center.
3. Car. We're coming from LA so it would be a 4-5 hr. drive.
