Anyone else see this? I thought it was OK in that comic-book-movie way. Kevin Spacey made a good Lex Luthor. Kate Bosworth was totally unremarkable as Lois. I kept wishing for Teri Hatcher circa '93.
I have to admit I spent the entire movie wondering how they possibly can't know that Superman=Clark Kent. I mean, he can leap tall buildings and stop bullets, but he can't manage a better disguise than THAT?

We're going to see it. I've been kind of leery since I am a fan of the original superman and also a big smallville fan. I'm giving it a shot though because I like Kevin Spacey

I thought it was alright. I love Parker Posey so that's really the only reason I wanted to see the movie. Kate Bosworth was pretty unremarkable and seemed to young to play Lois... espcially Lois as a mom.
I thought it was enjoyable, but compared to other comic book movies, I don't think it was as good as the Spider Man movies or my personal favorite, Batman Begins.
I think Kate Bosworth was miscast. I agree with what others have said about her not being that great as Lois Lane. Plus, they really needed someone a bit older since in this movie she's a mom and a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. Brendan Routh, while very nice to look at, was a bit awkward as Superman. He played Clark Kent pretty well, but he lacked the presence and charisma that are necessary to play Superman.
I just saw Superman this weekend and I was really surprised by how much I liked it. I had really low expectations but I thought it was surprisingly good.
My favorite theme was how lonely it must be to be Superman. I'm sure I put too much thought into it but I got verklempt when I was watching the movie.
As for Kate Bosworth, I've never been a fan and her portrayal of Lois Lane did nothing to improve my opinion of her. She was too skinny, appeared to be balding, and I just didn't buy her character.
Parker Posey was awesome! I always love her in everything I see her in and this was no exception. She displayed 10 times the emotion as Kate Bosworth. Kevin Spacey was pretty great too.
Definitely a recommend if you like this kind of flick.
