Oh I wish I could see movies by myself! I can't really bring myself to. I don't even like renting movies by myself. But I'm also afraid to admit to my friends that I want to spend $8 seeing this movie...what's a girl to do?

that's why I'm going by myself.Only one of my friends would want to go see this and she's in Cincinnati.
It was good, but then end was very diifferent from the book (imo, to the point that it was hardly the same story.) Great storyline and awesome clothes though.
FWIW, DH LOVED it. I dragged him there and he ended up liking it as much as I did. Lots of eye-candy and not too girly of a story-line, I guess.
I really liked it! I haven't read the book (and I won't, because I am anti-chick lit) but the movie was cute and the clothes were amazing. I went with my sister and we were both drooling the entire time.

I liked it a lot too. I haven't read the book either, so I don't know how closely it followed the book, but I thought it was enjoyable. The clothes and shoes and bags and accessories were amazing. And I thought that both Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway did a great job.

I've been really wanting to see this and I asked DH if he was going to watch it. I can con him into watching most girly movies with me- but this one he said I'm on my own. I just told him what you posted and he said "well good for them" lol. He's on to me with this one lol.

I saw it yesterday and I love it! I haven't read the book, either, so I don't know how similar they were. But I loved the fashion eye candy and the Adrian Grenier eye candy even more. And Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway were both great.
I read the book a couple years ago, but frankly I don't remember much of what happened. I do remember that the book was kind of depressing/frustrating to me: I just wanted Andy to QUIT!
I liked the movie a lot. It didn't leave me with the same feeling as the book, which was a good thing. I loved seeing all the clothes and accessories.

Okay, now I wanna know-- how was the ending different? You can pm me to avoid spoiling the book for anyone else. Curiosity is getting the better of me right now.
