STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I just wanted to share my excitement after having to shell out $200 on a new alternator this weekend which killed my shopping budget for the month.  I got to work and opened up my email inbox and found out we are all getting a $500 AFTER TAX bonus on July 1 in addition to our regular bonuses which we get in September along with our raises.  And we get July 3rd and 4th off.  Free vacation day!!!!   Things like this keep me happy with my job.

So all weekend I was upset over the whole alternator issue with my car I'm getting rid of in December anyways and having to throw money down a hole with it and I find out this exciting news.  So I'm using it to pay for the alternator, buy one shirt from Nordies on my wish list (under $80 too so save a tad more) and then using the rest as vacation spending money at Disney and save my normal amount of each paycheck to ING like I had planned before the car incident.   

And to top it all off I was nominated by someone in my office for the huge national campus recruiting marketing campaign and I have a second phone interview this afternoon.  So tidbits and/or articles about me and my corney habits such as watching food network as I work out or even that I have time to cook 4-5 days a week (demonstrating the whole work life balance - ie I have time to work out daily/cook even though I work full time in public accounting) maybe placed on posters or in the magazine they pass out around campuses nationwide!!
