Anyone have any recs for shampoos with fragrances that linger (and also are pretty good). I always notice when people's hair smells good, but mine always seem to fade...
i really like trader joe's citrus shampoo. i also think that the cheapy coconut shampoo lasts pretty long (i think it's suave or white rain). both the trader joe's and the coconut one is so cheap that you can experiment.

Catwalk (TIGI) oatmeal and honey shampoo, labeled "comfort food for hair." It smells so good, and it lasts two days if I decide to give my hair a break from shampoo. I haven't tried the conditioner though, just the shampoo..
i really like the way kms smells. also, i like thermasilk and pantene. garnier fructis smells really good, but it leaves my hair all limp and lifeless and leaves a weird film on the shower floor.
I 2nd shopgirl82's T. Joes citrus and wanted to add that TJ's also makes an herbal shampoo (can't remember name, but it's in a blue bottle) that smells fantastic!
Back to Basics - they have the best smelling shampoos. I use Pomegrante & Peach and it lingers and smells so good. I've also used Coconut Magno and Raspberry Almond - both of those are great too.
I don't know how you feel about the smell of Aveda products (I love the smell) but whenever I use the deep conditioners, the smell lasts for a while. I also like Hamadi products, and the way they smell is fresh but not as strong as Aveda. Although I think the way the smell stays in your hair depends on the type of hair you have, in the long run.
I want to try that freeman's papaya shine shampoo that was in the new Lucky. My neighbor uses some kind of leave in conditioner that is mango. I think it's herbal essence? Anyway it smells really good.

I looked at Walgreens and Albertsons but neither had it. I thought I'd look at Target next time I'm there.

i love the candy-like smell of john frieda brilliant brunette. also, nature's gate herbal conditioner has a really clean, all natural smell that lasts quite a while.
2nd for the fresh stuff! i don't feel that the conditioner is moisturizing enough for me, but i add it to my regular conditioner and it does the job.
also wanted to recommend alba botanica hawaiian products. i love the gardenia conditioner! this one is also relatively cheap and on sale at whole foods all the time.
Bath and Body Works is now coming out with shampoos and conditoners to match their signature scents. I bought the Coconut Lime Verbena, shampooed with it Tuesday morning and I can still smell a light whiff of it today.
I tried a great-smelling shampoo this summer by Nexxus. It is from their Organics line. The one that smells great (and works well IMO) is the Inergy one. It is unfortunate that they don't make a conditioner that smells the same. I would have bought both if they matched.
