I haven't had one since highschool. I miss it, but i'm kind of scared to ride one now 'cause I worry about crazy motorists. In H.S. I lived in a really rural town so I didn't have to worry about traffic as much. I also have no place to store one.
In fourth grade I fell off my bike and never got on one again until college. I went to UC Davis, which is the bike capitol of the United States, so I started riding again. Now I never use it. I'm too scared to ride it on the city streets, with all the stupid drivers out there. Davis is so bike conscious and has tons of bike lanes, so I feel safe riding there.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
I actually have this fold-up bike, it's supposed to be for people with small planes, like cessnas, so they can unfold it and ride from the airport into town or something. But I got it because it folds up and fits nicely in the strange gap between my refrigerator and my wall. I don't use it nearly as much as I thought I would, though. A lot of my friends live in my neighborhood, so I figured I'd ride to their houses, and I also thought that maybe it would keep me in my neighorhood for things like when I go out to eat or need to go to the store or something. But I've only used it once, because my part of town is bad and I never want to ride home in the dark, and also because I have to carry it up three flights of stairs to get to any of my friends' apartments, so that no one steals it!

My boyfriend goes on 10 milers every Tuesday with his boss (maybe he's sucking up to the very rich man:) ! j/k) I refuse to go that far..it's too far to go for me. I don't even have a bike, but I get to ride his ex-wife's...I didn't like that at first. At least they get along great for their daughter's sake, and I actually think they are friends now...(it wasn't him..it was her:)!) The few times I have gone, we rode around town a few miles...I was afraid b/c I hadn't done this in a while...but it's like they say...
I had a pink one forever and finally I somehow bent the rim on it. I moved to the country then and didn't ride for a long time so I gave it away. There aren't really any bike lanes or anything around here so I don't think I would feel very safe riding it anywhere than just around the neighborhoods anyway. I do kind of miss it, it was a lot of fun but DH has a motorcycle and that's a lot of fun too.
