Summer Time by Will Smith, it's a summer time classic. Oh, and that one summer song by Sugar Ray, can't remember the name, but a lot of their music fits the bill.
*do the whirlwind -- architecture in helsinki. it's very cute & dancey, well at least i feel like dancing when i hear it. i was listening to it on repeat yesterday.
*knock 'em out -- lily allen. she's this british chick. i think her dad is famous or something like that. anyway a lot of her songs are very fun & upbeat. she doesn't actually have a good singing voice, but her songs aren't really traditional in terms of lyrics and kind of irreverent so it works. other recs are smile (n/s if it fits the bill for summer music but it is a good break up song) and LDN
*promiscuous girl -- nelly furtado. i'm n/s if i actually *like* this song, or it's just grown on me after seeing the verizon commercial a zillion times
*oh my gosh and/or romeo -- basement jaxx
*if it's loving that you want -- rhianna. this is not her newest song, but it is my personal preference. very summery & cutesy, and i have a soft spot for teeny-bopper r&b
*the heat -- toni braxton. kind of old but a good summer song
*the tide is high -- blondie
*a message to you rudy -- the specials
*burning down the house -- tom jones & the cardigans
Rhianna, her music is new and it's all like regge/hip-hop/bubble gum. Every time I hear one of her songs I am energized and can't help singing and dancing along!
