what kind of trash can do you have in your kitchen and do you like it?   i need a new one and want something cute (is that possible?) but not annoying to use.

I don't think my trash can is "cute"  but it's functional.  I enjoy the pedal to open it.  It also has a cool bag-grabber-thingy (how technical I am!), so the trash bag doesn't slip into the can when you throw things in it.

I think I have the same one as Sibeski. I got mine at Costco, and I really like it.
