What do you like? I've been making a lot of sandwiches lately and want to try new things. All of my meat has to come from the deli counter because pre-cut luncheon meat weirds me out.
I really like Boar's Head Virginia Ham (cut really thin) and Boar's Head Lacey or Baby Swiss. I haven't found a really good roast beef or turkey that I love.
i only buy turkey at the deli counter and i have two favorites. if i'm at a regular grocery store i get boar's head cajun turkey (i am addicted to it for a snack) or if i'm at whole foods i get their house made oven roasted turkey, which tastes like fresh thankgiving day-type turkey.
My absolute favorite is at Whole Foods - Applegate Farms oven roasted chicken. It's $9.99 a pound & I would eat it all the time if 1) whole foods was closer 2) i could afford it often!
ETA: incidentally, if you make a whole foods trip, we make these chicken sandwiches with an artichoke lemon pesto that they have too (near the cheeses) & it is SOOOO good. I imagine not particularly low fat but man it rocks!

I love proscutto de parma. I'm not sure who would carry it besides a whole foods type place though but it beats any proscutto I've ever had. I get mine at the liquor store downtown that also specializes in high end deli items.
i love huge chunks of mozzarella. i'll slice it for a caprese salad, toast it for a tomato, basil, mozzarella panini, through it in spicy pasta, etc...
