does anyone happen to watch when they have bare escentuals on qvc? well they had their aniversary show over the weekend and they had this set of makeup and brushes that had the kabuki brush but with a long handle. i want that brush but can't find it on it's own. does anyone know where i can find it alone. i don't want to buy the set to get the brush. on the show she called it the "handy buki brush". but i don't think that is the actual name of it. this is a picture of the brush with the set.
I'm probably going to Ulta tonight or tomorrow so I can look to see if they have that brush in stock. I've never seen it before though...would sure be nice to have a decent handle for my kabuki brushes.
That handy buki brush looks a lot like the "retractable blush brush" I saw at Ulta. I even compared the retractable blush brush to the regular kabuki brush to see if there was a difference in the number of bristles, but the brushes were the exact same size. My guess is that QVC renamed the brush, but I'd have to see it IRL to be 100% sure it's the same.
I just went to B.E. boutique that SA said that that Kabuki IS NOT made with a longer angle. So I think they just renamed it.But sometimes on QVC I think they get a little tongue tied, maybe she didn't mean to say that. Anyhow the SA if they made it longer you wouldn't get the control you need to buff on the minerals properly- I guess this makes sense.Because the way she showed me w/ the longer brush it actually looked kinda funny.
Ok, I'm just now seeing this. I have a set like the one pictured (I don't think mine had the silver handled brushes though), my husband bought it for me during the holiday season. I DO have this handy buki brush (it has the name on the sticker/wrapper part) but never even used it (it's still wrapped in plastic). I put it away thinking it was another blush brush, which I have two of already. This is why I didn't pull it out of the plastic. Now that I look at it I guess it kind of resembles a buki brush. It still looks like a blush brush to me, just with more "hairs" packed in. It doesn't look like anything special but if you're still interested, pm me.
I have this one and love it for applying makeup!! i sold the buki b/c they apply more makeup than this brush and i wanted the handle.
but lilykind is right in her statement above "That handy buki brush looks a lot like the "retractable blush brush" I saw at Ulta. "
i have ordered 4 sets that came with different items so far to get different brushes and makeup to try and i sell the rest. I had that brush once and sold it. I will try and find the picture on ebay.
PM if you have more questions.

That's right. It is the handy buki brush. It is a new product, so it just probably isn't at Sephora & other places that sell Bare Minerals/Bare Escentuals makeup. You can type it on Ebay & find some sealed ones...under the name handy buki brush like here
You might be able to find a good deal that way. Too bad they don't have a store. I think they only sell intro stuff thru the bare escentuals site & then you can buy pieces afterwards. I bought my "starter set" at Sephora. I'm not one to put tons of makeup on...so this stuff suits me...bare.
thank you mirbear, rosie the riveter is sending me her handy buki, but i was wanting to get one for my mother in law if i liked it. i am getting her some bare minerals for her birthday. she is one of those that what ever is the cheapest is what she gets and i want her to try something of a little bit of quality. she is wearing this foundation from the 99cent store right now that looks horrible. anyway, the point is, thanks for the links, now i can find one for her as well. i know, i type too much, bu ti talk too much in person as well.
