I have the original tapes (yup, I said tapes-for VHS), but I don't use them anymore. I currently do the Tae Bo Cardio Circuit 1 and really like it. It gets my heart rate up and I'm sweating by the time I'm done.
Overall, I like them. I'm planning on buying Cardio Circuit 2 sometime, since I'm get a smidge tired of 1
I had the original tapes, don't know what happened to them but they really made me sweat 30 min. into them and they'd get my heart rate up. They're really fast so you have to be careful not to injure yourself. I took some Tae Bo classes when I was at UCLA where people from the actual video, including Billy Blanks' daughter, came to teach the classes. They were really intense and I'd be dripping with sweat afterwards.
I have the tapes and they always have me sweating at the end. I love tae bo because (when I actually do it regularly, which isn't happening right now, lol) I notice a difference in tone and muscle very quickly. The last time I did it after a long break I remember noticing how fast the muscles in my upper arms firmed up.
I liked the original VHS tapes much better than any other series I have tried.
Right now I have the BootCamp. Its just OK. There is a 30 minute 'live' cardio dvd that is good, the others are an hour. I have a hard time committing myself to an hour so I usually pass them up for another workout.
When I started to make a lifestyle change (eating right & regular exercising), I did notice that my body tightened up from the Tae Bo. I could swear my stomach felt flatter after doing my DVD for the first time
my entire sorority was obsessed with Tae Bo and we used to all get together in big groups in our party room to do the tapes! i miss those days...
there is a big picture of all of us at a formal and we ALL look fantastic. i remember my body being in the best shape it has ever been when i did those tapes. but i also did them religiously the entire school year. we would do them 5-6 days a week.
i have looked into getting the tapes again- but i loved the original series and i can't seem to find them anymore
i have the bootcamp tapes and i love them...he sends you resistant bands w/it and it makes it a very tough workout. i can definitely tell a difference in my body when i do it...esp my muscle tone. but i always have to turn the sound down and listen to my own music...i can't stand his music or him talking throughout the whole thing. but overall...its an awesome workout and i would highly recommend it!! good luck and if you get it, let us know what you think!
