I think Paulie is such an idiot! When Tony finds out what he did at the end of the episode (because Tony will find out) Paulie is going to be majorly f-ked!
Other than that, I thought the episode was pretty good - not great, but not bad. It moved a little slow for me. Tony definitely seems different.
i am not likeing this softer tony. not at all. i want my hard ass tony back. i loved carmela though. she wasn't in the episode much, but she is such a down-ass wife. i loved it that she noticed somehting was up with paulie and vito. i really don't think vito will last the season. and now i am thinking, and hoping i am wrong, that paulie has got it coming too with that stunt he pulled at the end of the episode.
i don't like tony hanging out with that preacher guy. he bugs me.
Sadly, I think the thing with Paulie breaking the knees of the construction company mama's boy is a one-episode only thing... I doubt Tony will ever find out about it, though it does foreshadow some serious issues Paulie has. I'm pretty sure Paulie's going to get wacked before the end of it all. Maybe Vito, too.
And Tony is definitely different, but I think the touchy-feeliness will wear off soon. Didn't you love it when Janice gave him the total brush off when she went to go "get the car" after Tony got discharged from the hospital and was waxing poetic about the gift of life? She is so selfish and insensitive, it is unbelievable.
the woman who plays janice is such a good actress. she really plays that character well and i don't think i could stand to see her in anything else she bothers me so much now. i also was agitated by how she looked at tony when he was being so open with her. she does this whole hippie, bhudist, born again christian "life is one big circle" thing and the first time tony is anywhere near sharing the same insight, her true colors are blazing and she gives him the brush off.
I thought the episode was alright. I'm glad to see things are starting to heat up in the business. I'm glad Tony was released from the hospital. And can I just say, I hate Paulie! I can't believe he went behind Tony's back and busted that guy's knee caps. And how horrible that he told his "Ma" that he never wanted to see her again, and that she was on her own. I agree, I think Paulie and/or Vito will be getting wacked. I also think there will be a wacking attempt on Tony at some point this season. I think we will be seeing lots of rats.

LOL these were pretty much my same thoughts on the episode, even down to the preacher guy.

Ok, I don't like this show, however I have been watching it with Gary cause he loves it. One of the things that bothered me the most about this episode was the preacher. He was whacked out of his mind.
this episode was so boring to me, but there were some great lines, and I love Paulie ("She was a who-aaahh") Plus I had to watch it on Tivo, because I forgot that daylight savings time started. And my Tivo cut off before the previews for next week -- can anyone share?

The episode was OK. I really liked how Carmella told Tony to keep an eye on Paulie or the other guy, (I can't remember which) and that she mentioned that the package of money she'd received was light.
