i can't take it anymore, i want a digicam!  and pretty much the only reason i want one is so i can post on threadstyle, lol.  it would just be so much easier to just click and show you all what i'm talking about and so many times i can't find pics on the web of things i get that i really need everyone's advice about!


so the requirements are:


easy to use


easy to download (or is it upload?)


shows detail well. 


any suggestions?


oh and not too crazy expensive because then i'll just talk myself out of it.  tia!

I'm happy with mine. It cost around $200 I think, I got it in May.

It's a Sony Cyber Shot 4.1 mega pixel, model # DSC-S40.

Yay!  I just bought mine too.  Haven't got it yet but a lot of my friends have it so I know it's a good buy.  It's called the Canon Powershot SD450.  It's pretty small, has a nice size screen with a pretty good zoom.  Because I'm a sucker for gimmicks, however, my favorite part is that you can colorize your pictures right on the camera!  If I wanted to highlight all the green accents in my room, I can zoom up on something green, register that color, and when I take a pic, everything that is green shows up green and everything else is black and white.  So. cool.


Amazon.com has it on sale this week too.  I think mine came out to about $280.

I got the same camera theotherjess got, the Canon Powershot SD450 for xmas.  I love it!!!!  It's small and simple - just what I needed.  Defintely check out Amazon - I got a good deal on mine too and Amazon is usually cheaper.

I think I have the same exact one! It's a cool little digicam that takes some really nice pictures but I dunno, I want a better, more expensive one.

I think that's the one I have, too. I bought it 2 years ago before I went to Egypt. It is easy to use, takes decent pictures, and has held up really well. I paid in the $400-$500 range and I'm sure whatever is available now in that range is 100 times better.

I was very happy with my old 2 megapixel Canon Powershot A60.  If you want inexpensive, be open to older models, and always price check online at places like adorama.com or bhphoto.com.
