If so, how is it? I've read decent reviews online, but I have a friend who HATES it and who claims that everyone he knows hates it (poor reception, dropped calls, bad vibrate means that he never knows when he gets calls). But he tends to get a little worked up about things so I don't know if I should take his opinion too seriously. Have any of you had the same problems? Or a good experience with the Verizon RAZR.
I want a thin phone, I like that it is pink, and I hate my current phone so I'd love to go for it-- but I'm a little scared.
I do not have it but 3 of the people i work with do and I have grilled them on it because I am thinking of getting it. They love them and havent had any of the problems you listed. I know for sure the vibrete on the razor 1 guy has is normal because when I work with him it is always going off. He wears it on his belt and feels it and I hear it if it is quiet at work.
I dont know if there is a difference between razors through verizon vs cingular vs tmobile. I cannot imagine they would be different besides network issues ie dropped calls and reception. Keep me posted if you get it. If it is awful I dont want to get it.
I too would love to have a pink RAZR so I know how you feel.
I know three people who have had it.
Co-worker at old job. He had it through T-Mobile, loved it, and never complaimed about problems with it. I think it's because he feels cool though carrying it around even though he's a crappily paid assistant. *rolleyes*
My current supervisor at work. She has a silver one through Verizon and HATES it. She says she gets dropped calls a lot and swears it's because of the phone because she hasn't had this problem in the past. She only got it because her mom forced her to get it though...she's very practical and would rather just get one that works.
One of my other co-workers had one for a few weeks and HATED it for the same reasons as co-worker in #2...I think she has Cingular.
I am planning on giving the pink one a run though when my 'new every 2' phone exchange time comes up in May. I don't have high hopes, but it would be sweet to have a phone that thin.
I bought the pink Razr this week. So far I have had no problems, and I am even getting service in places that I was sure I wouldn't. I adore the color and the size is perfect. If this is important to anyone, the quality of the videos and pictures is good (and has better zoom than my Sony camera). Anyhow,I say go for it. It comes with a 1 year warranty if something goes wrong, and you can buy insurance for really cheap in case you drop it. If you seem to hate it, you can return it. Although mine is just too cute and I love it, if I have a problem I will report back ASAP!!
I hate it. I regret getting it and am looking for another phone.
They seem to be really tempermental. I have had two in the last few months, because it keeps pissing out on me. It seems like the littlest things seems to mess it up. I have had many Motorolas before and beat the hell out of them and have never had a problem ever. I love how it looks and the features, but preformance is crap.
My aunt also had the same phone and she had the same problems. She is also on her second phone. We both are really unhappy w/ them.
Damn razr.

I have the pink (not magenta) Razr thru Cingular, and I love it! I've had it about a month and a half. The color is so awesome and I haven't had many problems....no more than any other cell phone.
I have it thru Verizon- I really like it. My only gripe is that the ringer volume button is stupidly placed on the outside side of the phone, so it can change it's own volume when it's bumped around in your bag. Happens to me all the time. But otherwise, the reception is amazing and I always have service where other people don't.
