I'm in the market for a new vacuum... I'd love a Dyson, but finances won't allow right now. Can anyone recommend a good vac under $100? TIA!

I have a Hoover runabout.  It's 18.5 amp (you usually see just 12) so it works pretty good.

I have an older version of this vacuum:



Mine's the "Feather Lite Swivel Guide" or something like that, and this one is the Ultra Swivel Guide (amazon.com: $68.99 w/ free shipping).  I got it as a wedding present, and that was almost three years ago, and its worked fine ever since.  I had it taken in to the vac shop last week to get a new belt and filter, and that only ran me $30.  It's just 12 amps, but it does the job for me (and I have 3 cats, so the fur in my house can get a little extreme).
