i understand that she is a legend and all and i totaly love her, and she is in great shape for her age, but i think she needs to give up the outfits. it's like cher and her panty hose with a thong. the world can enjoy her music just as much if she performed with some clothes on.
I think she looks great, but I think her outfit choice is unfortunate.
Not related to her looks, but I'd like to share that in 2nd grade my best friend at the time, Mollie, got tickets to a Madonna concert and invited me and my cruel parents did not let me go. I still hold a grudge.
There's an interview with her in the latest issue of Harper's bazaar, and while she does look good, she's starting to look really tired and... I don't know. Old, I guess, in a very well-maintained way. She's got a killer body, but the way she dresses is a little strange for someone her age. She said in the interview that she's preparing to go on tour again.
Now, don't get me wrong -- I think she's a fantastic artist who has pushed a lot of boundaries in her lifetime, but I think it's time she scaled back -- or maybe just wore pants instead of a leotard? Who knows -- maybe this is another way she's asserting herself?

exactly my point. i'm not saying she looks bad physicaly, i just think that her clothing choice is off. i think she looks great, just maybe she needs a new stylist.
I think for the grammys it's ok although I wouldn't wear that, even with her body. But damn ya'll, she's almost 50 years old! I hope when I'm 50 people say "she's starting to look old"

I haven't liked Madonna since vogue, but I think being on stage gives her permission to wear whatever she wants. It's not like she wears it to run errands at the grocery store or post office.

I see what you're saying, and I agree that as a performer she can wear any costume she wants, but I don't think her look is flattering for her now. It seems to me that she is trying too hard -- that her body is cut and defined, but in her face she looks worn. I'm not saying she should 'age gracefully' or anything like that, but it seems like her image is still based on being young, and that's getting harder for her to pull off, in part because she's been in the media spotlight for, what, 30+ years?

I agree with you, Starstuff. She does have an amazing body and looks way younger than she is (and the woman's had two kids!) but it does seem to me that she's starting to look older in her face. I've seen her in concert twice and she is still beautiful, even more than when she was our age, but it's time to wear something different.
Incidentally, I don't think the winged hair is flattering either.
