I am thinking of going to Hawaii in may. I was just wondering what the weather was like. I am super fair and cannot handle the heat well. I would rather stay home that get hot and sunburned! I have never been and think it would be so much fun. Any advice or tips on weather, time of year, places to see etc would be great. TIA
I have found http://www.weather.com to be pretty helpful in finding out the average temps for locations. I don't know anything specifically about Hawaii though. HTH!
I live in Honolulu. The weather here is about 85 in the day and maybe 75 at night. It's mostly sunny but we do get some rain. The weather is pretty much the same year round, but if you don't like the heat, I wouldn't come in July or August. It's still only about 95 or so but that's kinda hot for us! HTH!
If you have any other ?s, feel free to ask!

I'd go right after mother's day & just before Memorial day to avoid the crowds & the heat. I don't know how the "winter" is going this year (just moved away in December), but Liz is right that the weather's great year-round.
Oh, say hi to my Mom and Dad for me, they'll be there May 22nd for their anniversary. I know they're going to see the waterfalls and sights like that and Pearl Harbor, which would be cool.

oh how cool...my wedding anniversary is on the 22nd as well!
Deuce- The temps are warm but there is basically no humidity so it makes it a little more tolerable. I was in Maui last may actually and had a wonderful time.
Thanks for the tips and info ladies. I actually dont know which island yet. My mom offered it up, so of course I am hoping to take her up on it. I know it sounds picky, but I get heat stroke and burn really easily so I dont want to take a vacation and just get sick. But it sounds doable for me. I figure I can find cool stuff to do no matter where we end up. We will probably go in the begining or middle of May. Yeah I am so excited.
